Kahuna is an abstract game about building and destroying bridges in order to capture and hold the majority of islands in a fictional tropical setting. It is a two-player game only and can be played between 30 and 45 minutes - 30 if you are both gamers, 45 minutes if one of the two gamers playing happens to be my spouse. Game Overview:

Enter Kahuna, a game designed for only two players. We were excited to take this strategy game of island conquest, by KOSMOS, for a spin. Being designed exclusively for two players is what drew us in to Kahuna. The island theme, for me, wasn't a strong selling point, but it wasn't a major turn off either.

The best thing about Kahuna though is that it is designed specifically to be played as a two player game. There's unfortunately too many games out there that show two to five players on the box, and don't have the courage to be honest and advise that you'll need a good three or four to have some fun. Kahuna does offer a few alternative.

It's listed for ages 10+, which is probably about right - although It's potentially 8+ for a gamer kid. The two-player line of small box games from publisher Kosmos has great pedigree.
